We had gone on several dates, and I thought it was going somewhere. There was such a build up of emotion from getting dressed up with my friends and waiting to see him (0:00 - 1:22). But when I got to the party and looked around the rooms, I walked in to a bedroom to see him making out with another girl. All in one moment, my heart dropped into my stomach, I could feel the blood rushing to my cheeks and the heat emanating out of my arms, and it was almost as if time stood still. The next day, I found this song, which captured that exact feeling at 1:23: completely raw heartbreak. Jon Hopkins, you are a musical genius.
