Johnny Worth was without doubt the most talented and prolific writer of UK hits during the 1959 thru 1963 period. He had an incredible talent for crafting catchy and instantly memorable melodies. Not only that, he was able to do the lyrics as well. I can't think of anyone else who did this alone with such great success. I take my hat off to him. A reasonable vocalist as well.

I can't think of anyone else who created so many instantly memorable and attractive melodies. Not only that he supplied the lyrics as well. He wasn't a bad singer either. A truly great Brit. Yet he's hardly ever mentioned when people talk about great popular song writers. Why?
