I could listen to him play all day. I don't even need to hear the rest of the band. Marr is enough!

Can't we just force Johnny to play "Some girls..." live? There has to be a way. Oh, there must be!

If only he would play the whole thing, start to finish.

Such beautiful guitar playing. A shame he doesn't show anything like this in his solo work, hopefully the new album will though. He is always saying stuff like "Oh I want to move away from the jangly stereotypes from The Smiths" but I just think it's silly that he should give a shit what people think. Just play what sounds good to you and don't worry about.

I'm glad he found the Jag I am, what's more I appreciate touring with a set of guitars that you yourself have designed and really worked on makes sense, nor has he just just stuck his name on it for the cash, that is clear. Still... nothing compares to hearing him play Some Girls are Bigger than Others on a Strat at the last Smiths gig. Whaddayer say Johnny? Bring along a few of the Gretschs on the next tour? Maybe the Casino? Maybe the Strat isn't due an indie-reappropriation-revival just yet, and the Knopfler association still looms kinda large so I don't blame him. Though in other news the Wave Pictures and Bernard Butler are giving the strat-rockist association a run for its money. While the Jag is definitely more versatile and 'brighter' and a catch-all guitar for his guitar playing/tones, to me it just sounds a little too harsh on some of those more melancholy numbers.
