My Dad is a double amputee from Vietnam War, Not conflict and when he was told that he would never walk again .. his uncle played this song and kept pushing him to walk, he has not been in a wheel chair since then, 1968. Lincoln and the Republican businessmen he worked for were the advance agents for today's huge central government. Lincoln was first with the forced government draft in the U.S., he put forth the income tax system which the Supreme Court ruled unconstitutional and he printed paper funny money well before the Federal Reserve Bank did so. He was a disaster for the nation and killed over 600,000 people. He was shot basically after the war ended, which did no good then and caused even more problems. He won election in 1860 with less than half of the votes and sneaked into Washington due to death treats then. England ended slavery without blood shed, and we could have, too. This was a war between the money bags of the industrial north and the smaller money bags of the mostly agrarian south. Some felt that Lincoln destroyed a lot of lives and he did. The propaganda in our history books look at him as "Father Abraham." Lincoln solved the "state's rights' question once and for all and today about the only difference between the states in the United States is their auto license plates.
