Back in the 70's we went on holiday for a week to Bridlington or Scarborough. I was walking with my mother when she exclaimed. "Ooh, it's Johnny Ray." His name was plastered all over as he was on stage somewhere localShe said."Quick, go get his autograph." All I could see was an old guy with a hearing aid, So I said." I'm not asking him for his autograph, I've never heard of him." "He sang The Little White Cloud That Cried." She explained." I've never heard of that either." I said and refused to go after him. Now I wish I had.

The incredible about Johnny Ray was that he was almost completely deaf and wore hearing aids, you can see the wire from his left ear. Thanks for turning me onto this great performer. Cry by Johnnie is an amazing tune also. I am 61 and still listen to rock but these guys were amazing.
