Part of a live recording at the 'Band on the Wall' Manchester England - October '89.

Great sound but visuals dissapointing due to inexperienced crew.

This is terrific. I've been listening to a lot of music from 35 years ago, and that's, of course, the time when "Bombs Away" came out. I can understand why John Stewart didn't like "Gold" and what it represented, and why John Stewart purist fans don't like it, but I do. In revisiting "Gold," I've been prompted to consider his music now when I wouldn't have as a kid then. And it's a damned shame he's not still around.

Thanks for posting. Wonder if he did "girl down the river" that night.

This video requires no apologies from any sound or visual aspects. It brings out John's shear intensity and tenderness perfectly. Anybody who knows his music, his yearning for a better world and his friendly ways clearly misses him while appreciating what he has left us. Thanks for posting this medley of the Lonesome Picker.

Hi. I just posted Arkansas Breakout from the same night. The audio recording has deteriorated a little over the last few year (there is flutter occasionally) but it is better than nothing. Bob (video mixer on the night).

Thanks for posting. John was the man, I grew up listening to him with my father playing his tapes in the car, so many classics.

Sadly, John Stewart died in January 2008. A lot of his music is around on CD and MP3 downloads and well worth seeking out. love and peace!

@northernlitez1 You are correct! I have this album on vinyl and it's my favorite song on it. Whatever happened to this guy?

@turquoiseeyes13579 Yes, you are totally correct & it is unfortunate that he was not better known but at least fans such as yourself, me, & many others discovered & can appreciate his true musical genius. There are a multitude of popular but not highly known artists such as he - I`m glad to have known his music & feel unfortunate for the others who never did.
