Maybe it's just me but John was probably happiest, post Beatles, performing live with Elephants Memory. They were quite literally a bar band & John Loved their gritty, raw, grab it from the crotch sound. The Album wasn't much but their live work was good. Hate all you want but Yoko was John's muse just like Linda was to Paul.

@Tyler Jaclyn LMAO The whole song IS a sexual innuendo. John Lennon loved blues but he tended to mock the lyrics. Like on "Yer Blues" he's basically making fun of every blues song every written. On this tune he starts out sounding like a typical blues artist with "going down" meaning suicide, but then later changes the meaning to going down on a woman. He says it literally even with "you gotta eat someone to be satisfied." And "It's so hard" starts out meaning "life is so hard" but then ends up meaning "my dick is so hard" by the end. This is the real genius of John Lennon. But you're right. Most people didn't get this sly innuendo back then and still today most people don't get it. It's a private joke between him and the few people smart enough to "catch his drift."
