This is great. You should do cover versions like they are your songs, and your songs like they are cover versions. Hiatt does that perfectly.

@mbroders he does well, in his way. As for matching Roys voice, i'll give it a go! been told often enough when i've done karaoke it's like being in the room with the Big "O" - hell, i'll put their money where my mouth is!!!

a fine cover, but when you're doing a song first sung by someone who was said to have "the voice of God" it is a hard act to follow. Miss you Roy.

@goldenhammersp1 He's one of the finest singer/songwriters in America... Ry Cooder, Joe Ely, Lyle Lovett, Robert Cray played with him. And he wrote songs for Joe Cocker, B.B. King, Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Buddy Guy, Bonnie Raitt, Iggy Pop and Willy DeVille... it is not "all"...
