You realize the murder happened in 1999? I did some quick Google searching and it seems that this song was indeed written about Caroline Reed Robertson and the murder of Rachel Barber. It seems completely plausible that years later when the story was made into a film, the filmmakers decided to represent this song in their movie. And godamn, I am glad they did. The music in the movie was so perfect and really made the movie.

Guys, this song is NOT about Caroline (the killer). This song came out in 2007, the movie wasn't made until 2008 (and not released until 2009). The producers simply picked the song because of the title, it wasn't written specifically about the killer Caroline.
