HASSE est considéré comme l'un des maîtres de l'opéra séria italien au XVIIIe siècles.Il voyage en Italie, et se fait connaître avec plusieurs oeuvres comme MARC' ANTONIO e CLEOPATRA, SESOSTRATO, ANTASERSE.
