Annie you got it absolutely right - PASSION. Joe, Janis, Jimi, etc. etc. etc.......................... funny how blues evokes so much JOY! Kathleen, sure wish I had been THERE too.................... Never saw any of the above alive but did see some unmatchable concerts by others back in the day........ did see Leon though and fell backwards while standing/rocking on my chair - person behind just caught me & gently stood me back up and we all went right on rockin'.....

THANK YOU for posting and sharing this - one of the best (maybe THE best band) musically since the phrase Rock & Roll was coined. Had to come check this out because the list of members didn't include Leon Russell - the guy who put this whole thing together and served as "bandleader" beside his own immortal career (not dead YET either). Many of the members are immortal legends in music.... best of their day and many just plain beyond comparison - this band had everything and the album is one of my favorites of all times..... wish the gov would order all broadcasters to play some, including Space Captain, every day. A Dios.... Happy Trails...
