Charted at #14 on Billboard in December 1955. This song was originally recorded by the Dream Weavers, who had the biggest hit with it, charting at #7. As for the competing versions which all charted around the same time, Jo's was the most succesful, followed by a version by Snooky Lanson which charted at #20, and one by David Carroll which also charted at #20.

Original Billboard review: "A moving, expressive reading on a ballad that's well-suited to the Stafford style. The Dream Weavers and David Carroll versions are already getting action, this one could break out. Rated 80 out of 100."

Written by Wade Buff and Gene Atkinson.

B-side is "If You Want to Love (You Have to Cry)".

Wow, to hear this song again and sung by Frankie Laine, thanks for sharing! I heard this song after its first came out in 1953. That was a great year where all the old goodies were already been heard all over the place. To think that in this day and age, we are still able to enjoy hearing there great songs!
