We used to . . . Holland co-hosted Night Music with David Sanborn. It was incredibly eclectic and featured everyone from J.J. Cale to Miles Davis to Sun Ra to Squeeze. Network TV never figured it out and it lasted only 2 years in the late 80s.

Jools may be kind of a blow hard when it comes to the piano, but in the U.S. we don't have anything like his show, I'm guessing he picks the guests and it's sort of his vision, so to my mind that gives him the right to jam with his guests... over here it's like J.J . who?...Jools keeps these performances alive and he's sort of the theme running through the show, plus he's funny and cool, I could seriously be wrong about all that, but imho.

i absolutely HATE the way joolz has been shoe horned on stage with so many great artists in their own right. He's not even that famous for being a pianist, what makes him think the world wants to see these forced duets.
