This again shows that Jimmy had as much rockabilly in him, as he did lonesome country. Yeah, maybe he had a nip before hitting the stage, but he's on it and has gotten the crowd goin'. And the late Charlie Cline on fiddle - bless his heart - one of the best on ANY bluegrass instrument. Thanks for posting.

Tom's 1981 Gold Star and other Gold Star banjos made during the 1980s were built in Japan. The revived Gold Star line of banjos (starting 2004) sold by Saga Instruments, South San Francisco, California, are manufactured in the People's Republic of China.

According to Geoff Stelling on May 22, 2008, "I believe the banjo was a 1979 Bellflower, walnut, 3 piece neck, that was sent to or delivered by me to Jimmy when Shannon Mays was playing banjo for him." Tom Adams followed Shannon Mays in the succession of banjo players who worked for Martin.
