Reading about the making of this record in Rick Hall's great, new autobiography about the Muscle Shoals sound and FAME recording studio and similar recording artists.

Mike you do realise the muscle shoals band and sound were all middle of the road white guys....... It's not about colour it's about the music that lived in these guys black and white

Jimmy Hughes sings (for no cover) at the Royal Cuckoo on Mission in San Francisco every Wednesday evening and some Saturdays, usually with the Hammond B3 playing behind him, sometimes with a guitar (small venue). What a treasure. He's in his late 70's now, so his voice is different - but what a TREAT!!! Leave a good tip!
