Looks like Jimmy is having playing issues with that Gibson SG. As much as I love Hendricks....his bass player has NO tone....just loud distortion. kinda sucks.

Jimi on a Lefty Gibson SG! FUCK YEAH!! He hit a few riffs that added "The Power Of Soul" to Sunshine Of Your Love. In Fender Magazine Slowhand said he was in awe of Jimi's playing.JAMES MARSHALL HENDRIX votedBEST GUITARIST EVER - ROLLING STONE BEST STRATOCASTER PLAYER EVER -FENDER MAGAZINE

I'm sorry but this rendition starts off good but the drugs seem too overcome any thoughts he's having about really moving this song forward. Everybody is just waiting for him to figure out what he's going too do, if anything !! His finish is welcomed !

spend more time with him, try remember and johny b good. if you do like some things listen to others. he has an ability to produce notes and sounds that effect the neuroendocrine system like no other. he can put me to sleep or wake me up. Clapton came close once with white room to the type of neurological transcendence that jimi was able to produce. He is the rock god version of Mahler. Carpuscular rays of sunshine embodied in sound.

Dude, it's 60's. You're looking for an good quality mixing??? This is pure attitude, like an poem full of angry and passion... this guy was playing somthing out of his time. It's too easy to someone borned in 90's to judge it boring. You took everything without revolution. Ps - Maybe an revolution started with Robert Johnson, Jimi and others. - whatever, you said a lot of crap.

I cannot describe it. Style and expression is something you cannot measure yourself, but only observing how accepted and acclaimed his work was and still is.

...and what style and expression did Hendrix have that many hundreds of blues artists prior to Hendrix didn't have that made Hendrix the ''greatest guitar player of all time"?

It's not about technique, dumbshit. He brought a whole new level of style and expression with his guitar. Not to say a bunch of fantastic songs. From your point of view, Beatles would be in the same list. So what? Music is not all about technique. Matter of fact, isn't about it at all...

@wovokanarchy I think you make some valid points. Who gives a damn if he played guitar with his teeth? You did ask about techniques that guitarists are using today and I would lean toward the inclusion of the creative use of feedback to create sonic textures. It was quite a revolution using this thing that prior to him was an annoyance and a distraction he crafts into something passionate. It's the wail of the manic depressive. It's the wind crying Mary. It's the rage of the girl f
