Charted at #57 on Billboard Hot 100 in April 1957. This was the first English version of this song. It has charted many times over the years for a variety of artists: #7 for the Everly Brothers in January 1960 (#13 UK), #5 for Betty Everett & Jerry Butler in September 1964 (#1 R&B), #94 for the Sweet Inspirations in July 1967 (#13 R&B), #127 for Nino Tempo & April Stevens in May 1968, #36 for Bobbie Gentry & Glen Campbell in January 1969 (#7 Adult Contemporary, #14 Country), #40 for Willie Nelson in August 1982 (#11 Adult Contemporary, #2 Country), and #15 in the UK for Justin in January 2000.

Jill's biggest hit was "Love Me to Pieces".

Original Billboard review: "Here's a "big" ballad sung straight by Miss Corey. Song is from TV show, "Climax!" The flip, "Make Like a Bunny, Honey" should be the winner."

Written by Gilbert Bécaud, Pierre Delanoë & Mann Curtis.

The other side of the single, "Make Like a Bunny, Honey" charted at #95.

Jill Corey was both beautiful and talented. I was a young teen in those days and I remember having a crush on Jill about 1957 or so.

@azw596 Yes, Jill adapted very well to different types of numbers. Quite different than the fast songs she did!

@Wordsmith37 I have a weakness for records by gorgeous girls with beautiful voices, as you can tell! I understand how you feel.
