If you read the lyrics, this song is basically about Blake suffering writer's block. He questions if anyone will care or listen to his songs or if they are good enough.There's also several Kerouac references and it is very likely that he could have intentionally started the song out to sound like "Heart Shaped Box" to reiterate the theme of writer's block that presides over the song.
