Hey. We all know his voice went to pot around 1985. But people still like hearing the music. But did you know, when he WASN'T on tour, his voice sounded pretty good. When Ian's voice was rested, it wasn't that bad. See that video of him doing "Wondering Aloud" at his home (with a string quartet) in 2006. He sounds great. Ian Anderson was never a media darling, he always did things his way. Tull has always been a band you either loved or despised, there never has been a middle of the road for them. They always do well live as far as the box office has been concerned. Occassionally they do a bad gig they are the ones the media reports on.

I didn't know they weren't in the Rock & Roll hall of fame!! If that's a fact, it's amazing! They were packing Madison Square Garden 4 nights in a row back in the 70's - it was Tull, Zeppelin, Yes, The Who (a little older maybe) - but Tull was a huge band - very influential. Ian Anderson is the genius of Rock & Roll in my opinion. There are many great bands, but Tull was, and still is, original and true to their own music. Live on and rock Ian! Thanks for everything!
