I actually do see that. I mean yeah I liked the songs. But I think that shifting the focus on video too much hurt music quality. It's that the music should paint images and feelings in your mind itself?

The shame is that we didn't value our music enough. There was a time that the Grammys were for one group and the Soul Train Awards were for another group! With all of the crossover, we forgot to appreciate our own sound! The Grammy people used to complain. But when faced with the facts from a Rhythm and Soul reporter, they admitted that R&B was not the music they wanted to give awards too!

is it a shame for Marvin gaye too, and Smokey Robinson and all other artist who were not as successful as MJ? Why must people value life in purely commercial terms? Not everyone wants to be as SUCCESSFUL as MJ. Some people wants to fall in love and have beautiful children and lead a happy life away from the drudgery of fan and media peeping through every hole in your garden. Some people want to make beautiful music from the heart, that only a few loves. Not everything needs to be commercialised.

Your opinion interesting & has points that are all right for you. Of course, Itunes does have its flaws & bush league choices in spots such as rerecordings of song hits that are not as superb as the originals. But, as a matter of fact is it the largest library of ready-to-purchase music\MP3s in the U.S. If a person enjoyed any 1 tune or a entire list it's very easy to purchase that tune or list on Itunes\Ping. I did finally learn that Fatback & Kleeer existed from Itunes in 2008. Research!
