Yes...you & I know that. But, someone younger sees the name & it's all supposed to represent what that brand name suggests -- the mystique, style -- should be from the same root. But it isn't. Just like early Genesis was not the later Genesis. I always valued the brand. Jefferson Airplane meant something to me. That last incarnation -- they should have changed their name completely. No JA. Maybe: The Paul Kanter Band? Kanter-Slick? But, as you say & I agree: 2 different bands (& 1 name).

Light years in quality away from "We Built This City." Almost as if it were two different bands. This is marvelous. This is the Jefferson Airplane. The sound, the interlocking vocals, the subject matter, the approach. They were such a great concept for the time.
