VOLUNTEERS (of America).....written and performed for audiences of a different time.......a time when younger people stuck together....stuck up for one another....and made it known that they were NOT taking any shit! WTF happened....now we actually have organizations like "the young Republicans" on college campuses. Instead of causing great civil unrest they advocate "political correctness" and dare not throw one rock or burn down a governmental building....AND....their, once strong voice disappeared like a grain of sand on a beach....While the voice of what's considered to be "reason" took over AND??? just take a look....Just like a "MONSTER."

They played in Allentown PA when I was a kid. Four of us went and only three of us had a ticket. I stayed behind with my pal; a maintenance worker took us through a tunnel to backstage and the two of us ended up on stage with the band. Great!

Sudden thought ... how would Grace Slick, Marty Balin, Paul Kantner AND Mickey Thomas have sounded singing together in one group at the same time. It wouldn't be difficult to find out - all we would need is for Kantner to stop his legal shenanigans and for all four of them to check their egos and come together for one great collaboration. Right now you have all sorts of splinter groups because apparently Kantner owns the name Jefferson, Slick owns the name Airplane, Thomas owns the name Starship, and I don't know what Balin owns. Let's drop the act and come back together and make the magic happen once more!
