Make yourself a favour. Look for "Peter Kaukonen - Black Kangaroo" if you enjoy early Californian hard rock at its best. You're welcome. Greetings from Spain (depressed)

Grace Slick was beautiful and sexy, but you always thought she could kick your ass. Even singing "Pretty As You Feel", her power could be felt just below the surface. One of a select few female singers, ever, with big brass balls. I'd like to hear Demi Lovato or Britney Spears TRY to sing this. No way. They would walk out in tears..........and I'd enjoy watching.

I've heard it said she was the personality of the group, Paul was the brains, and Marty was the soul.

Grace was more of an anarchist than a hippie, she hated to be told what to do. I didn't invent this, I read somewhere that she was sick to death of the orthorexic health-food fascists when she and Paul lived in San Anselmo. Grace was drunk and high much of the time and was more into emotional expression rather than towing some political party line, a true individualist!

Thats true? It sounds more like she is being sarcastic, I mean dude, what hippie would say that.
