Yup. Hated this album when i first heard it. (my all time fav. wuz 24 hr. revenge therapy...) But a year later, it joined the rest of 'em as beautiful and relevent in my eyes. It was SO much more polished than I was used to hearing from them. Threw me off. But I realize now that Blake was growing. If there was no Dear You, there would be no JTB. (and what a shame that would be...)

Pssh Dear You is their best album, hands down. "Chemistry" alone is worth the album.

People who don't like Dear You are pretentious purists. The album is fantastic when you compare it to the stuff today. It's different but a good different, it's like Brand New's progression (best comparison I can think of.) People whine about how the newer albums aren't like the first, but they're all bloody fantastic.

@XInterceptOverJesus It's because if you were into to Jawbreaker's first albums, before Dear You came out. You were used to how they used to be. This is a much different release. But also awesome. I can understand why people didn't like it. It's one of those albums that you have to acquire the taste
