I was there! 13 years old!! Now, artists aren't as bold to mix Pop, R&B, Rock & Dance. MJ and Janet were eclectic. Notice those people who are 35+ aren't afraid to have eclectic tastes in music. I'm not saying ALL of the younger generation are monotonous. .....but, our radio stations weren't dominated by 1 CORPORATION (Clear Channel...now, known as iHeart).

There are other great women rock stars too: Janis Joplin, Lita Ford, Joan Jett, Stevie Nicks, etc. But no other Black women Rockers except Janet on this one track. She must of felt like doing something different. After this concert I became an official Janet fan. She's great.

I was. It was recorded at the Met Center in the Twin Cities in I think 1988. I must have been 13. I was in St.Josephs Home for Children and Janet gave us a bunch of free tickets.Thanks Janet. Your awesome.....
