This must be rather rare? This is the first song he put out, I think on Apple, and it didn't go much of anywhere......probably poor promotion by Apple......but later it was on his "Greatest Hits" (beige cover? White cover? Where they list the songs on the cover that are on the album) and we all heard it then and freaked. First time I've heard it live. Guess he's been doing it in concert. Apple hired James after he played just a tune or two for John Lennon and Paul McCartney........they quickly said "He's in".

Why we like the music we like is a totally subjective thing, the same way our opinions on beauty differ from those of others. Having said that, IMHO, this is one spectacularly talented man. Not only does he have a beautiful voice but his guitar playing is amazing, too. I can't play guitar but friends of mine who do have mentioned that his stuff is not easy to play. And his ability to write songs is remarkable. And he's still great!

James only writes in a few keys... one of the benefits is he can still sing the songs he wrote as a young man. Many artists can longer perform vocals as they did in their youth (Paul McCartney and Geddy Lee immediately come to mind).
