Track number 6 from their 1974 album, "Nightmares and Other Tales From The Vinyl Jungle." The album that produced one of their biggest hits: "Must of Got Lost," and as much as I love that song, I seriously feel that this song got lost in the mix. This song for some odd reason never got the love it deserved. But this song is one of the greatest examples of why Magic Dick was one of the best harmonica players in music! What an incredible opening lick by The Magic One! Few songs can match this one!

I agree, Stoop Down #39 did not get the respect it deserved. I have always searched for this song starting back in the Napster days.

I absolutely agree. As a long time fan of Magic Dick (as well as the J. Geils band, of course!), I've always thought that this is one of the finest examples of fantabulous rock harp playing ever recorded. His control and punctuation is unrivaled. Another one of my favorites is his work on "Back To Get Ya" from the Bloodshot album.Everyone still holds "Whammer Jammer" as the icon of his portfolio and a 'measuring stick', if you will, of great rock harp playing, but I'll take "Stoop Down" every day, thank you very much!
