After my parents, who had been trying to have children for 13 years, adopted me in 1956, my mom used to hold me in her arms while this song was playing on an 45, dance around the living room, and sing it to me until I was about 6, maybe 7, years old! And, yes, I was a mama's boy until the day she died almost 9 years ago at age 87. Thanks for sharing it!

Just about everyone has done this, in the last 60 years, however NO ONE can touch Ivory Joe. He is so far above all the rest. If you can't beat it ,leave it alone. Same with the Great Pretender, Only You, and so many more from the 50's

I remember this song very fondly from my high school years in the 1950's. Very nice song, very well done.

This is one of the greatest songs ever recorded... I loved it in 1950 and I'm 84 years old and I still love it... It transports me back to when I was young and handsome, and everybody wanted a piece of me... oh those were the days

One of the many singer songwriters, that didn't get the merit he deserved!

One of my all-time favorites. A near-perfect combination of piano, vibes, sax and, of course, Ivory Joe's incomparable vocals. As sweet and romantic a song as has ever been composed. If I ever get married again this song will be played at my wedding.
