He must have seen the TokyoPop localization dub many years ago. They took out the J-pop/Eurobeat soundtrack that makes Initial D and replaced with some shitty original rap. They also changed the names around; Ituski became Iggy for example. Funimation recently came around and did a PROPER localization dub, leaving the J-pop/Eurobeat soundtrack in tact and untouched.

What you're talking about was the abomination that was the TokyoPop port of Initial D. They took out the original eurobeat soundtrack and put in shitty rap to "localize" it for Americans. The original Japanese Initial D used Eurobeat/J-Pop for music. The Funimation dubs of Initial D have the original eurobeat soundtrack. What you saw was a slaughtered down (and censored) version of Initial D.

it means many things...not sure what it means in this usage, but Mikado can mean "Emperor of Japan" that's the closest thing I can think of.
