Yes its my favourite album im very familiar with it and no thats not a blast beat! it is as I said like a punk or lombardo fast beat taken to its fastest extremity im a drummer I know...alot of black metal bands use this type of fast beat also its not a blast!

Blastbeat or not, who gives a fuck? Just enjoy the one of the most surprising and awesome band´s one killer song! IMO, if you have never heard about Edge of Sanity go and buy "CRIMSON" Listen that end then you are in the EDGE OF SANITY....

@umgwahumgwa haha, no, thats not a blast beat. A standard blastbeat is usually done holding the stick with your pointer finger and your thumb, and use your remaining three fingers to tap the bottom of your stick back up to your hand, forcing it to hit the snare quickly, allowing the rebound of the impact to force it back down into your hand so you can do it again. This technique is only really used when the drummer wants to play faster than he can physically possible with his wrists.

@SpyanLord not a single blastbeat in this song. Blast beats are 16s or faster, hes playing 8ths on this. And i've never known EoS to use blasts a single time, its not really the right genre or style :/ Still <3 them though
