an old man that I worked for about 5 years, who went to WW11 when he was 18 or 19 told me they used to sing this song while they were working on the farm that he grew up on. Some where in the South I think Arkansas but that had to of been the 1930s. I haven't seen him since about 2004 he was a tough son of a bitch so I'm sure he still around.
