That too =) Anders has jokingly said numerous times on why they don't play for example songs from TJR, he said that while making the album they thought it was cool and good sounding to layer a lot of guitar tracks but then when it came to playing it live it was a bit like, oh wait, we don't have 6 guitarists in the band? I know Dead Eternity (TJR version) has at least 4 layers as well during parts before the first verse. But it's mostly due to audience not responding well according to the band.

the main reason In flames doesn't play a lot of old songs live is because when recorded on the album originally they were layered with 3, sometimes 4 guitars (Everlost 1 for example)

@traumaification They have not grown away from it. They just don't want to make another Subterranean, and they also don't want to make another Colony, R2R, CC or ASOP. Each album they make is very different from the others. You forgot to add that YOUR opinion is that the old stuff is better than the new, it is not a fact. The reason they don't play this song anymore is due to the audience not responding well to Old songs, and therefor they don't play it, they don't want to play to dead people.

@FirstMetalHamster cause in flames has unfortunately grown away from the old school death metal that they played which suxs cause their old stuff is 100 times better then their new stuff
