That was pretty good, do you guys play gigs? One suggestion would be to vary the guitar parts: you could use different chord voicings, and one of you could do the descending run on the "IIIIIIII thought that you would realize....." you could utilize two different guitars as well, maybe a 12, or one could go electric...I am gigging now, I'm close to your age, I play "oldies" like this, I find the challenge is to balance sounding like the original song, but varying it just a tad....you're on the right track though...better to play it close as you guys do, you can always vary it as you go forward....(if you're not gigging, you should be, yer both very good) I run into so many who want to "interpret" such songs their way; usually the audience rolls their eyes, says "you were great, yeah, wow!" while holding their noses as they leave LOL
