When I first purchased the album "Frank Sinatra Sings for Only The Lonely". I was like WOW what a great album. And it's been said it was his 'Masterpiece" but, then I bought "In the Wee Small Hours of The Morning" and I must say this really captured his loneliness and intimacy. This album is also included on "Rolling Stone's" magazine as one of the top 100 of all time. Also included on many other Albums of all time lists. I never get tired of this album. "Wee small hours album" is AWESOME. Every song. And in my opinion better than his so called "Masterpiece" which is no slouch.

I don't know. Sinatra here is at his usual best. But the arrangement leaves me perplexed. Actually, Sinatra is left alone.

It was recordings of songs like this, the "quiet gems" that really showed Sinatra at his very best. One of my favorite Sinatra recordings of all is "Dancing on the Ceiling", yet it still seems to be a little discovered gem in the Sinatra canon. This was beautiful--thanks for sharing it!

Really it's impossible to choose a favourite Sinatra lp but if i really had to it would be "Wee Small Hours" with "Close to You" as my second choice. He digs deeper into the lyrics than any other singer and is in a class all his own.

FRANK SINATRA! I am a Sinatra Fan from age 15, to now. OMG! That is five decades! Seriously though, Frank's incredible singing has enriched every year of my life. This great singer has brought musical joy to my life and he seems to have sung a song that fits any event. Thanks Frank! May God Bless Frank Sinatra!
