congratz for makin it out! no offense....i just don't really have the patience to sit in the same place year after year after year (even in a city where literally every moment is different from the last) NY....fuck that place. too many people, too stinky. i started a band JUST so i could go on tour....i mean there is a whole world out there, and how am i gonna fuck shit up up there when i'm here? plus as i assume you should know....this is Boston...we already got an FSU crew here.

The basement shows were years ago. Not sure what is going on there now. Wakefield still has some. Saugus was full of bad hardcore bands that did shows with better bands. Generally that area had a lot of small bands so there were always $5-10 shows on weekends if you kept an eye out. Some of the worst ones managed to book shows with INK, Vanna, and some other decent bands. This was years ago though. I've been out of Saugus for almost 4 years.

they have church basement shows in Saugus? shit...the farthest north i've ever lived was Malden. i didn't know there was anything outside of cheap dates, good work, strip malls, and cheap drugs out there......then again, i've bounced from Malden to Newton cuz we moved when i was 8, now i'm somewhere between Brighton and Fenway (MassArt student)....so all i know is Boston.

My apologies I was genuinely trying to be helpful. e.g. I am from Saugus, but I don't know every little town in the Cape or out west. You could be from those areas and not know those tiny norhtshore towns that have no historical or economic significance. Cool story about other bands, though some of those are from Springfield 100 miles from Boston. Also, I was going off watching them in church basements when they were ska not a history. You disagreed they were ska before by citing facebook.

1) ya i know the bands history.....you can't find a Reverbnation link without finding that out 2) don't fuckin tell me my own states geography....not because it annoys me, but because it wastes characters.....Dropkicks are from Milton, people still call them a Boston band tho....but it also annoys the fuck out of me 3) what else is there to do in Marblehead? shit get real angry outside of Boston...the acacia strain, bane, killswitch.

When they were like high school age they were ska (like 2006-ish). Spencer and the original lineup were from Marblehead MA (if you know the area it is near Swampscott and Lynn) Then they were like punk with hardcore elements before "The Burning," which is wear they went more post-hardcore. (sorry realized your post was really old after typing all of this)

i know...but they the ones posting it, not me. any other complaints on the matter should be taken up with the band directly....and unfortunately i'm not in the band so i can't answer for anything.

i've been following they're facebook page...they call themselves Post Hardcore/Crabcore. i've known about these kids since the singer and i had an at length discussion about Vonnegut...apparently both the band and i are from Boston.
