There is nothing more beautiful or powerful than a commited Christian. What a wonderful Savior and what a wonderful opportunity this brief life on Earth gives each of us to serve. The rewards are not the point, but they are a fine bonus! Eternal life is pretty neat. I will take it. And I will continue to strive to serve Him. I am not ashamed of the Gospel, and I do feel so much sorrow for those who are. There is no apotheosis of humankind on this earth, but when we are cleansed and perfected by Jesus, we will soon live in God's presence in a realm of unimaginable, glorious things. There is no greater gift in the universe and beyond. It is yours if you will only accept it and repent.

Thank you for your words below. I have four adopted daughters and a husband who do not love the Lord. Sometimes my daughters come to church with me, but they fight me every week, make fun of my beliefs. My husband does not share my love for Jesus. Reading your comment (Heartvisions) gave me hope. I will say a prayer tonight in Thanksgiving for your mother. My mother is still living she instilled in me the love for the church. Please pray for me that I might have the joy of sharing the Gospel with my family without losing heart.

I discovered the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir and this song when I was saved in 1996 at 46 yrs. of age. I always say this was my Mom's theme song. She never gave up on her husband or 10 children, by praying and proclaiming daily her love of Jesus Christ. My Mom was a quiet, and often shy, lady. But she was never quiet about the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I love and miss her SO much, but I know she and my Dad are with Jesus. And that makes me SO happy!
