I haven't uploaded the rest of the record because I believe my mono rip only hints at the beauty of this score. Friedhofer not only was a superb composer, he was perhaps the best orchestrator in Hollywood. He also much admired Brando, & so brought his best to this music. . This is an "old-fashioned" romantic western score, yet parts of it seem to hint at what Morricone would soon be doing, quite apart from the brilliant style popularized by Elmer Bernstein.
