What an intelligent vid! And you couldn't have chosen a better song. I had never thought of the prospect of voting on another citizen's human rights because I've always been of the "live and let live" attitude. It's frightening to think that other people can actually determine your rights. In reality, unless someone is perpetrating evil against another person or an animal, we should be staying out of each other's business anyway. The government shouldn't even be involved!

I'm a big fan of Kevin Hanson, and in turn, Huffamoose, his trio, and now The Fractals. While he isn't the lead singer, Craig Elkins, who was the forefront of this band, I still think their music is transcendent. This song may have been written from a girl's pov, but it lends it self SO well to this video, politics aside.

Sintrade, I agree with you 100% about the song and forget the politics.....This is one of the coolest, moving, flowing songs I've ever heard. Too bad more people haven't heard it! a top 5-top 10 of all time for me. It's just so mellow...if you are tense, listen to this song and it will calm your mood! I just wish I could find it on itunes, limewire or one of those sites as I miss having on my MP3 player!

My comment is not on the politics of the song, but rather what a powerfully crafted song this is. Simple chord progression & melody that cleverly builds to intense chorus. The lyrics flow so effortlessly... "he stepped on his dreams so many times he wore out the path he needed to take to find the life he thought would just happen to him, like the changing of the seasons." How many of us stepped on our dreams so many times we wore out the path? Excellent song.
