Not surprising that their is not a single comment speaking about what might be wrong with this video. This is quite typical of the climate at the time no doubt, with some quite revolutionary acts and suggestions. First, insulting stereotyping professionals and older generations as out-dated and "challenging preconceived ideas" which then includes dancing on school desktops, insulting/shunning education and encouraging the teacher to dance along also off into oblivion (perhaps over the edge of a cliff). This type of theme recurs a lot throughout mainstream media at the time and since, for example Dead Poets Society film, Pink Floyd's Another Brick In The Wall, a da-da, a da-a. If you actually critiqued such things from a clear and alien perspective, they could in fact seem very extreme. And yet not a single group, body or organisation has spoken up in any meaningful way, to object to this cobblers and its effect on the dancing rats and their pied piper. It's obviously just a bit of happy fun! And then people wonder (or rather don't wonder) why local councillors are happy to sponsor illegal acts of vandalism to be promoted as the new norm.
