Clearly you don't get something, Jesus is God. Thus, God sent himself. And it's quite clear that Jesus had numerous opportunities to do whatever he wanted. Among others, he could have summoned a legion or more of angels to protect him, but he didn't. I think if he can raise the dead, cure illness by mere proximity, walk on water, etc he could have dealt with a mere riot and some religious leaders not following the spirit of what HE told them to do in the first place.
