Conheço esse disco de Larry Elgart desde criança, e sei dizer a densidade do que foi a música americana dessa época. É realmente uma coisa linda, esplendorosa, inigualável, não haverá mais música assim. Essa música que Elgart resume em seis grandes faixas, num disco vibrante e altamente sonoro, é apenas uma amostra do que a grande música americana foi. Eu gosto de rock 'n roll, mas confesso que o rock nem de longe expressa a beleza das big bands dos anos 30 e 40. Grande Larry Elgart!

Re the hand clapping:okay,for choice I'd rather it hadn't been included either.But,you know,if it can help make music and songwriters worthy of the name accessible to even a handful of kids,and turn them on to the fact that God gave us the big band sound too,surely it's a price worth paying.

Wonderful music, first class, but everything is spoiled by this idiotic hand-clapping. I bought the CX years ago, but I found the clapping so disturbing, that I never listened again after the first time.
