Hiliary Duff isn't too bad of a singer just not really my cup of tea,but with the original Shangri las, the leader singer from back then had an extremely unique sound in terms of voice so needless to say no one can do Mary Weiss justice..so far,not sure the last time she release anything new

This was the Perfect TV Series. My favorite series of all-time, and I'm an "old" guy. The casting was brilliant and Brittany Snow was just great in her role. I really identified with her, growing up in that era. Using the newer artists to reprise the old classics was a great move and it almost always worked. This was one of the few modern series which was not dumbed down and always maintained a high moral ground. I wish that they had maybe one more season. Too bad that NBC cancelled it.

@ChrisBurtonCanada Someone did put up the first few episodes of it but I don't know if youtube took it down or not and of course it's plenty of clips with artists today playing as artists back then on the show. My favorite was Ashanti playing Dionne Warwick. :)

@ChrisBurtonCanada It was. It was the 60s and the dance show American Bandstand. Good show. A Good clean show you barely find these days.

I adored this show, but this was just dumb. Hilary & her sis playing the Shangs is a travesty. They should've done what they did in the first episode with the Beach Boys and used The real Shangri Las and archival footage
