All I can say is, I wish I was there to see this and maybe even get to meet Herb and Lani. Ironically, in November of this same year (2013), I got my horn autographed by Chris Botti at Proctor's in Schenectady, NY, for the second time--the first was at SPAC in Saratoga, NY in July, 2012. Chris dated my horn both times--THANKS CHRIS! Another incredible musician, Chris Botti is. But I have my heart set on seeing Herb Alpert hopefully in concert and pray every day to meet him and hopefully Lani, too. It's this man's music that inspired me to expand my musical talents from the drums to trumpet in 2011. I am still actively taking lessons, learning to master this most difficult of all instruments, all because of hearing Herb's music on the radio and finally deciding this is what I want to do as well as play drums. I have a rare form of MS, use a wheelchair, made a special heel operated bass drum pedal to keep playing drums, and just keep on forging ahead. Herb---I am following you--buying all your albums, the newest one is incredible and you always outdo yourself! Watching this made me want to cry, the emotions just came on like a sledge hammer. Yes, this is happy music, but it has a profound effect on me because things like this aren't done much anymore and it makes me long for the old days again. I was born in 1966, during the peak of Herb and the TJB's success, and this music has been a part of me all my life. Seeing this man onstage all these years later is just a testament to how incredible he is. God, I want to meet you, Herb. God Bless you and Lani, and stay well my friend! Love, Rick "C-6" Delair.

I love Herb and Lani. Both have been making iconic beautiful music for a long long and they really are unique in all of music. Check out the bass player on the 6 string bass. I saw them in person and he is one awesome musician.
