I always think it's a shame that people cant just shut up and enjoy the music. As it happens, I like Rock and Jazz ( contemporary) but this music has it's place for me. Maybe some of us enjoy a wider variety in our lives!

Henry Mancini reminds me of "I-Spy Treasure Island". I know it sounds stupid but I-Spy was my childhood game and they used this classy, old style music in some of the scenes so it brings back memories. <3

Irrespective of any era: It's similar to, oh, say another masterpiece like the Mona Lisa. You show it to anyone, and they just know. Play any (respectfully done) instrumental version of this for just about anyone. Heck, they might not even remember all the lyrics, but it's just about a sure thing that they'd instantly that main theme with "A kiss is still a kiss" Great music transcends time. This man and the wealth of creativity he passed on to the listener, will be remembered for a LONG time!
