The first Hawkwind album I purchased back in 1974. I was sacked by this viciousmanager Mr Hoare, and with my final wage packet I bought this gem. The openingtrack certainly made an impression on me, after such a dismal experience.Mr Hoare and his shop have long since departed. I'm still here, and so are the Hawks...

We're sick of politicians harassment and lawsAll we do is get screwed up by other people's flawsWorld turned upside down now there's nothingelse to do. This was made in 1972, and they saw what everyone else did not about politics, and politicians. 24 years later, it is still the same. Just the last 10 years it is showing what politicians are and have always been. Dirty rotten, back stabbing, weasels, greedy, wanting always power, and control of everything. Wake up people. please!

With the greatest number of lineup changes of any band in history...20...40 who knows....HAWKWIND has maintained a reputation built on a bond that must be stronger than even The Allman Bros..the theme is always Sci-fy in nature, with a dash of Pagan Hippie Trippie....but their message was clear. When I listen to interviews with Lemmie, I realize that this must have been one of the most intelligent bands out there!!!
