@COGITATEandCOGNIZE OK, I'm sorry for my previous statement (just a little) but I don't see how expensive tickets have anything to do with the band's policy. Since they probably have a contract with Ticketmasters or a similar company, they have no influence on the price of the tickets and if the choice (as demonstrated by Pearl jam in late 90's) is doing a big tour with everything taken care of and promotion or doing a DIY shows nobody knows and where nothing really works my choice is quite easy
