Surely, this is one of the most popular hillbilly songs of all time???

It dates back to 1938, and the very start of Hank's singing career.

I remember reading that the Australian release was one of the best-selling 78s ever issued on the Regal Zonophone label, and that it stayed in the catalogue for years & years, because it just kept selling.

I can remember listening to 50s Aussie radio, back in the days when the stations would close overnight...and, first thing in the morning they'd have a hillbilly session...even then, almost 20 years later, this was still an oft-played, firm favourite.
