When I went and saw them the first time they did the HELLbilly version of this song. He told a story whether fictional or not, I do not know, about a guy with a Mohawk who's car broke down on I-40 (i presumed he was speaking of Joe Buck) he proceeded to the nearest exit and went in a store.He asked to use the phone the guy stared at him and said "hell gnaw". The show itself started with Hank doing traditional "old school" country with Joe playing an upright bass fiddle NOT A CELLO.
