You should try COMMON CHILDREN, Marc Byrd's precursor to Hammock. He was the lead singer and songwriter for this band. Multiple albums by them.

Such a great version! Of course, I prefer this over the original (not saying it's 'better' - since that just isn't the case - a cover can't be 'better than the original), this due to entire atmosphere. This version is such a typical Shoegaze track but with the extra hammock-twist. Gotta love it. The production is top-notch as well!
