Michael should have killed Laurie. After all, at the end of the day, the series is going to continue on with or without her. So better to let Michael accomplish his goal than to give Laurie a bullshit victory.

This will sound cliche, but the "Halloween" franchise should have ended with this one, even with the three-picture deal in place—the first one being "Curse" and this one being the second. The studio could have put the third one on the shelf. Nope, milk it for every red cent, instead.
